Move out cleaning, end of tenancy cleaning and end of lease cleaning are three names for one job in Geneva: an emptied apartment cleaned to the standard the managing agent checks at the état des lieux de sortie, the exit inspection. It is not a normal clean. It is measured against a written record, on a date you do not control, with your deposit attached to the outcome.
What a move out clean includes
One scope, one rate. Nothing on this list is an extra.
- Kitchen Oven, hob and extractor hood degreased, fridge and freezer emptied and wiped, cupboards inside and out, sink and taps descaled.
- Bathroom & WC Limescale removed from taps, screens and tiling, sanitary ware, mirrors, ventilation grilles.
- Floors & skirting All floor types, corners and skirting boards — where an inspection usually starts looking.
- Windows & frames Glass both sides, frames, sills and the rails blinds run in.
- Doors, switches, radiators Door leaves and handles, light switches, sockets, radiators and their backs, blinds and shutters.
- The final check We walk the flat before leaving. Anything flagged is put right on the spot, at our cost.

What it costs
One published rate: CHF 10 per m², whatever the surface, everything included. A 40 m² studio is around CHF 400, a 70 m² three-room flat around CHF 700, a 110 m² four-room flat around CHF 1,100. The actual condition of the apartment can move the final figure, and we say so before starting rather than after.

Booking a move out cleaner: the timing that matters
- Book at notice Not the week of the inspection. Geneva moves cluster at the end of the month and the end of each quarter; those slots fill first and the inspection date does not move.
- Empty first The flat has to be cleared before we clean — a cupboard that is still full cannot be cleaned inside, and that is where the inspection looks.
- 24 to 48 hours before Early enough that nothing is rushed, late enough that the flat is still in that condition when the managing agent walks it.
- You do not need to be there Many clients have already left the country. Keys can sit with the managing agent, a neighbour or the concierge, and the report comes to you in English.

When to hire someone else
- A small flat, a flexible date A studio in good condition with no fixed inspection deadline is cheaper with an hourly provider such as Batmaid. Our per-m² pricing assumes a full property cleaned to inspection standard.
- You want the deposit promised back No cleaning company decides what the managing agent writes on the form, so nobody can honestly promise your deposit. Anyone who does is selling you something they do not control. What we commit to is narrower and real: a point flagged at the handover is put right at our cost, and if the result still does not satisfy you, we refund our own invoice.
